I just received a call from our reporter friend who told us that none other than VW (the alleged victim in the Soria criminal case), looking to get some money to get her teeth fixed, wants to tell a story. We started to laugh when we heard the details; apparently W did not come off completely sober. Normally we might simply discount this kind of thing, as the reporter didn't really pay it much mind.
But we also are trying to get a real-time understanding of what the book calls the "intervention"- that is guys like Battaglia and his friends trying to make an issue out of something weeks more months before they even know it is an issue- and trying to blast out to the public in general an admonition to not buy the book, because of their opinion about it and not reading a word of the book. They are honestly trying very hard to make Poole and I look bad.
Why make all that effort? If the information is bad it will die on its own. If the information is good it will grow, and strangle the theory they cling to- and are basing a documentary on (using other people's money.)
We understand that at some point, W will surface, like she did to the Fox reporter. It will probably be in an "Anton Batey" interview. She is willing (for the right price, as she told Blatchford) to make a statement that the letter is a fraud and that she wrote the letter. Of course when she was told there was no money for the interview, she was not interested in that public statement anymore. She also said that Soria and Danny Patton made the letter up "as a joke". (By the way Soria's sister is on record as admitting to having written the letter)
Right.
If that's the case why has Patton not said that himself? By the way we document this because we keep giving the other side ideas; they will suddenly make the claim that Patton said it was all a joke.
WE DON'T GET THE JOKE
So let's look at the "joke." W claims the letter was written as a joke between Soria and Patton (whom she said was in on it.) Most jokes do not work this way. So who was the joke on? The news guys?
Was it a prank to make them chase their tails?
It would seem easy enough to refute: but why (even as a joke) would they throw Lil Half dead under the bus? Seems a bit risky. I mean have you seen this guys videos? He wants to be known for a hard core "shoot first and ask question later" guy.
Have you ever looked at this cat's album cover? (I don't get to take credit for this one...)

Is this a representation of Pac at Can Am Studios? Tupac Dead at the Cam Am studios (see the back wall) with his pal Kadafi (also killed in New Jersey within weeks of the shooting)?
So right, let's make a joke letter about this guy (who by the way we take "dead serious") and blame him for Tupac, but lets also throw in a bunch of information about his inner dealing with Death Row and Tupac and pretend that he got shafted by Knight! Brilliant!
And no- we don't think the album cover is suggestive at all (clears throat.)
So next this "joke" letter is self incriminating as well. So not only do we throw this guy under the bus but we'll implicate ourselves in the mix and give less motive than we gave the rival gang guy- because that won't inflame anyone right? So let's give them two targets.
Next we'll also throw Reggie Wright under the bus- a guy neither of them knew who the hell he was- right? Seriously? The guy who runs Death Row Security, and let's piss him off with the joke as well! How the hell would Soria or Patton know Reggie Wright to just throw him in there as giving information. Strange name to pull out of a hat. And after the reputation of Baudy and others that Wright was in the middle of the ass-kicking (not saying he did it but saying he was there and didn't stop any of it- ask where Reggie was at El Rey- Death Row Dave places him there) I would not want to just be dropping names in a joke.
So next to naming the rival gang member who likes the reputation of being a killer, and the head of Death Row security And let's give it to the news guy because we know he won't ask any of them about it- right?
Okay- perhaps one can see now why proving this letter to be a "fraud" is a little more difficult than just saying it is. Because to prove the letter a fraud and buy the whole "joke thing" you have to answer a lot more questions than any of these cats are willing to put out there.
So is VW, the conflicted, motivated accuser and alleged victim in the Soria case, going to be the "nuclear bomb" that is supposed to destroy Tupac:187 as a book? Considering that the Patton letter was only a small portion of the book, its not likely.
But if V.W. wants to make that claim, I am sure Battaglia will be there to put it out- truth, sense or not. And I am equally sure that others will be happy to promote it for them.
Meanwhile a lot more about the letter is in the book. Buy the book and solve a crime.
